Calm, Intentional Growth
Growth should be purposeful, not chaotic. That means timely books, realistic goals, and steady progress that supports both your business and your life.

About Robyn LeBreton

Dedicated to your success

Hi, I’m Robyn, owner of REaL Books.

I help small business owners keep their books organized, understand what their numbers are telling them, and have better information when it is time to make a decision.

Because bookkeeping should be more than getting transactions categorized and accounts reconciled. Those things matter, but the real value is being able to look at your financials and understand what is happening in the business you are working so hard to build.

You don’t need to become an accountant.

Your numbers should tell you something useful.

My Background

My career has taken a few different paths, but there has always been a common thread: accuracy, structure, problem-solving, and accountability.

I served in the U.S. Navy working in information technology, where details mattered and systems had to work the way they were supposed to.

After the Navy, I spent years in insurance and risk-focused roles. That work taught me to look beyond the surface of the numbers, identify patterns, document what matters, and understand how today's information can affect tomorrow's decisions.

Today, I bring that same approach to REaL Books.

I am also the elected treasurer for my town in New Hampshire. Municipal finance is very different from small business bookkeeping, but the responsibility behind it is remarkably similar. Money needs to be accounted for. Records need to be clear. Reports need to make sense. And the people relying on that information deserve to know it is accurate.

Serving as treasurer has only strengthened how seriously I take accountability, documentation, internal controls, and clear financial reporting.

Those aren't just bookkeeping tasks to me. They are part of being a good steward of someone else's financial information.

What working with me looks like

Clear books

Your bookkeeping should be current, organized, and built around how your business actually operates.

Clear communication

I will tell you what I need, explain what I see, and ask questions when something doesn't make sense. No disappearing behind accounting jargon.

Better information

A Profit & Loss shouldn't just be something your accountant asks for at tax time. Your financial reports should help you understand the business throughout the year.

Accountability

I take the responsibility of working with your financial information seriously. Accuracy, documentation, and follow-through matter.

A collaborative relationship

I don't expect you to hand me your books and never ask a question again. The best bookkeeping relationships happen when we can communicate openly and work together.
